Before doing any proactive work on the site, in terms of traffic and conversion, I must first establish a baseline level of activity. Not only will the results of this measurement provide very interesting and helpful information to you, but it will allow me to easily track improvement based on the services I provide to you.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a process by which you select a certain number of keyword phrases, and then implement strategies in order to show in Google when people enter those keyword phrases. The first step of SEO is to determine which keyword phrases to aim at. It’s best to start with a Keyword Research process that analyzes various factors of how many people search for a particular phrase each month, and how many other websites currently rank for these keywords.
Based on this analysis, the numbers will tell a clear story about which keywords are the optimal to aim at. Through discussion and analysis, we’ll mutually agree on the top twenty most important keywords/keyword phrases you’d like to rank for. Then we’ll pick the top five of that group as our first phase. Because a certain amount of work is required for each target keyword phrase, we prefer to focus on five at a time, so our efforts can bring results as quickly as possible, before moving onto the next set of five keyword phrases.
Once the first five are selected, I’ll then dig a bit deeper into reverse engineering the other websites which currently occupy the top 10 positions of Google for each keyword phrase. Based on this reverse engineering of your competitors, I’ll be able to make a rough estimation of the amount of work necessary to win out over those competitors.

These are just a few of the many cardinal sins website designers commit on a regular basis. It’s not the fault of your web designer. Asking your web designer to do your SEO, is like asking your car wash to fix your transmission; they know enough to convince you they can do the job, but not enough to do the job right. SEO is a specialized industry, and people who aren’t “in it” just don’t think about all the ways they could be helping (or hurting) their website.
Once your site structure is in place and ‘taken care of’, it’s important to ensure that you are regularly creating new content on your site. Most companies create content every day, without even trying. It is the natural course of doing business. I will help to identify these areas and structure a procedure through which content can be regularly produced, and placed onto your website in proper formatting.
Backlinks are Google’s way of determining how important a particular site is. A backlink is when another site has a link pointing at your site. Google counts each backlink as a vote for your site. The more backlinks you have (i.e. the more links which are pointing at your site), the more votes your site has.
For example, if two sites have the same exact content, but one has 10,000 links pointing to it, and another only has 100, Google will give much higher weight to the site with 10,000 backlinks, because it appears more important.
This service builds backlinks to your site on a regular, ongoing basis, on average between 50-70 backlinks per month. The benefit is that your site receives a constant growth of backlinks. It is the most “long term”/”investment-minded” of all SEO, because it takes the long view in the SEO game. It helps your site to dig its heels in to the top positions in Google, beating out competitors for the same keyword phrases.
SEO isn’t just SEO anymore. A lot of people are focusing on the value of social media, but we approach it from the perspective of optimizing for search. In addition to having your site rank for particular keywords, it’s also important to be part of the ongoing conversations that are ranking for your desired keywords.
